Key updates:

* **Greek AI writing assistant support:** Added Greek to the AI writing assistant using the Google Gemma 3 27B model and introduced a localized AI disclaimer.
* **AI writing assistant optimization for Spanish:** Migrated Spanish AI writing workflows from Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 to Google Gemma 3 27B and Amazon Nova models to reduce costs while maintaining functionality.
* **Major dictionary updates:** Added 7,800+ new dictionary entries across multiple languages, including medical terminology, abbreviations, proper names, technical terms, and German linking-hyphen forms. Improved language coverage for Danish, New Zealand English, and English dialect variants.
* **Spelling and language quality improvements:** Refined word lists by removing invalid entries, improved suggestion quality, optimized English word-splitting behavior, and enhanced German word processing performance.
* **Autocorrect and style enhancements:** Improved English and Spanish autocorrect prioritization, added sensitive-term filtering and autocomplete refinements, and expanded style rule capabilities with support for suggestions beginning with spaces.
* **Spanish AI proofreading updates:** Released RedPenNet v3.1.0 for Spanish proofreading, improved correction reliability by disabling problematic grammar rules, and fixed issues affecting superscript and subscript text.
* **User dictionary improvements:** Added support for hyphens in dictionary names, enhanced validation rules, and expanded support for apostrophe characters in custom and user dictionaries.
* **Platform and compatibility fixes:** Updated LanguageTool to the 2026-06-12 release, improved ICU-based word counting and processing for multiple languages, and fixed Japanese and Chinese word usage calculations.
* **WProofreader UI improvements:** Resolved a WordPress 7.0 Gutenberg compatibility issue that caused unexpected bullet markers to appear in WProofreader interface components.
* **Security update:** Upgraded jackson-core to version 2.18.7 to address the reported CWE-770 vulnerability, and jackson-databind to version 2.18.8 to address the reported CVE-2026-54513 vulnerability.
