# Analytics

### Overview

The **Analytics** page in the admin panel shows how your team uses WProofreader: how many words it checks and how people use the suggestions. The page shows the data of the selected team.

{% hint style="info" %}
For the [self-hosted admin panel](/v6.18.1/admin-panel/self-hosted.md), use your installation's address. See [available pages](/v6.18.1/admin-panel/self-hosted.md#navigating-the-admin-panel) for activation and license conditions.
{% endhint %}

All team roles can open **Analytics**. In WProofreader Business teams, administrators see the activity of all users. Members with the **User** role see only their own activity.

#### Word usage

The **Word usage** chart shows the checked words for the selected period and domain.

The number of words for a day comes from the check type that processed the most words on that day. Check types are spelling, grammar and style. The chart does not add up the words of all check types. Spelling autocorrect and autocomplete are not counted here.

For example, on a given day only spelling and grammar checks were used, with 200 and 100 words. The chart shows 200 words for that day. In most cases, spelling is the check type with the most words. Some languages, such as Chinese and Japanese, have only one of the check types.

#### Feature usage

* **Check type** shows **Accepted**, **Ignored** and **Added to dictionary** suggestions.
* **Autocomplete** shows the total completions offered, **Accepted** completions and **Skipped** completions.
* **Spelling autocorrect** shows the automatic corrections and **Undone** corrections. **Undone** counts the **Revert** action in WProofreader. It does not count Ctrl+Z.
* **API usage** shows the suggestions generated through the API.

To hide or show a line, click its name in the chart legend.

To export a chart:

1. Open the chart menu.
2. Choose the export option for SVG, PNG or CSV.

### Filters

Use the interval list at the top to select **Daily**, **Weekly** or **Monthly**. **Weekly** needs a period of 14 days or more. **Monthly** needs a period of 60 days or more.

To select the period:

1. Open the date selector.
2. Select dates, or select **Yesterday**, **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, **This month** or **Last year**.
3. Click **Apply**.

The date selector uses UTC+00:00.

Some filters are on the charts:

* **All domains**, next to **Word usage**, selects a domain. **API requests (no domain)** selects requests without a domain.
* **All languages**, next to **Feature usage**, selects a language.
* **All suggestion types**, next to **Check type**, selects **Spelling**, **Grammar** or **Style guide**.
* **All suggestion types**, next to **API usage**, also offers **Autocomplete** and **Spelling autocorrect**.

**All users** shows at the top for WProofreader Business teams, when you can view all users and there is more than one user. It does not show for members with the **User** role.

### Empty charts and errors

If no analytics data exists, the page asks you to use the product first. Return to **Analytics** after proofreading activity.

If a chart shows "Please, select a shorter time period or try again later.", select a shorter period.

If a chart shows "Could not load this chart. Please, try again later.", try again later.
