# Admin panel: self-hosted

Use the self-hosted admin panel to activate licensed products, manage team members and select proofreading settings. It runs with your WProofreader Server.

The admin panel reads your server license. It has no billing or public sign-up page. Invite people to add them to a team.

These pages start after your server team installs WProofreader Server and the admin panel. For a Docker installation of WProofreader Server and the admin panel, see the [Docker Compose example](https://github.com/WebSpellChecker/wproofreader-docker/tree/master/examples/admin-panel). For Kubernetes, see [Kubernetes](/v6.18.1/deployment/installation/kubernetes.md). For the people who write texts with WProofreader, see the [User manual](/v6.18.1/user-manuals/user-manual.md).

### Navigating the admin panel

The menu shows pages available for your role in the selected team. Before product activation, the owner can open **Subscription** and **Products**.

Activation makes more pages available for that team. WProofreader Business teams have no **Credentials** page. Members with the **User** role have no **Team** page.

If no license is installed, the menu shows only **Subscription**. This page remains available when the license blocks other actions.

To select a team:

1. Click the team name in the menu.
2. Select the team that you want to manage.

The team selector appears when you belong to more than one visible team. Your role and available pages can differ between teams.

To open your profile:

1. Click your name in the menu.
2. Select **Account settings**.

To sign out:

1. Click your name in the menu.
2. Select **Log out**.

### Roles

Your role applies to the selected team. Each team has one owner. The first user created during setup is the initial owner.

* **Owner** can activate products, manage members and settings, change the team name and transfer team ownership.
* **Administrator** can manage members, settings, style guides and custom dictionaries.
* **Developer** can view team members, settings, analytics, style guides and custom dictionaries. Developers can regenerate the access key.
* **User** can view **Subscription**, **Settings**, **Analytics**, **Style guide** and **Custom dictionary**. Users cannot edit these settings or open **Team** or **Credentials**.

WProofreader SDK and SCAYT teams offer **Administrator** and **Developer**. WProofreader Business teams offer **Administrator** and **User**.

Access-key actions apply only to teams with **Credentials**.

### Deleting an account

{% hint style="danger" %}
On a self-hosted server, deleting your account also deletes the teams that you own and disables the services that you own. The cleanup of the related WProofreader Server data continues after the deletion.
{% endhint %}

If a team that you own has other members, transfer ownership or remove the members first. To keep a team and its service, [transfer ownership](/v6.18.1/admin-panel/team-management.md#transferring-ownership) before you delete your account. Deleting the initial owner does not open the setup page again.

To delete your account:

1. Open **Account settings**.
2. Click **Delete account**.
3. Type `DELETE` in the confirmation field.
4. Enter your password.
5. Click **Delete account**.

If the window shows "Your account can't be deleted yet. Resolve the following first:", complete the listed actions first.
