# How do I enable caching different from the default 10 MB of cache on AppServer for 10000 suggestions

By default, the cache mechanism is turned off. To enable cache saving (caching), specify the number of misspellings using the [CacheSaveInterval](/deployment/configuration/application-server/appserver-parameters.md#draft-appserverparameters-cachesaveinterval) parameter in the AppServerX.xml file. You can specify any number of misspellings that suits your particular WebSpellChecker needs. The default value for cache according to [WebSpellChecker Server Hardware Requirements](broken://pages/cSwflyzl1OWUYIOSkNt0) is 10 MB of cache is enabled on Server for 10,000 suggestions.
